Stripology Mixology class

January 30th and 31st 2026

Hello Quilters we have another Stripology Mixology class January 30th and 31st. (Friday and Saturday) You can spend the night or come for the day. This is a two day class and at the end you will be able to use all aspects of the Stripology ruler and have a finished quilt top. We will be using Stripology Mixology Book 3 and specifically the pattern Zoe on page 58. We will be making the Lap size Quilt. If you would like to build a bigger quilt you are welcome to do so.

Supplies needed for the retreat and project:

Most supplies can be purchased at Fiberworx Fabric Studio located a 9242 FM 725 McQueeney, Texas

Students can receive a 10% discount on class items and fabric for the project.

Suggested:  GEasy ruler stickers or 1/4" tape

The project we will be working on is Zoe on page 58.  The pattern suggests that precuts can be used.  However, to fully experience the Stripology ruler, I suggest yardage.  This will give the students more opportunity to increase their comfort level with the ruler.  

We are planning on making a lap size sample.  

Fabric Requirements:

24 Dark 10 inch squares

Background Fabric (light) - 1 3/4 yards or you can use 10 inch Squares (light)

First Border -1/3 yd

Second Border -1/2 yd

Third Border -1 yd

Binding - 2/3 yd

Backing - 3 1/2 yd

Cost of the overnight class to include lunch and instructor fee is $245 per person and for day classes $175 per person

Barn Quilt Class

February 21st 2026

Come join us for a day of paint and fun at Queens Rustic Retreat. Valerie Steele is our instructor and she does a great job in getting the creative juices going. The class starts at 10am and ends at 4pm. The cost of the class is $130 this includes instructor fees, all supplies to include a piece of wood , paints and brushes. All you need to bring is an apron or an old paint shirt, 24in ruler and a blow dryer. Lunch is also included. Retreat on a Whim

March 11th through March 15th 2026

Come join us for an open retreat in November. The cost is $80 per night with lunch only. We also offer day retreats from 9am to 5:30pm for $45 per day. There is a two night or day minimum. Collage Class with Doris Rice

May 8th and May 9th 2026

Learn how to do Collaga Wall hangings with Doris rice. She is a certified Collage teacher and does a great job in helping you make beautiful creations. The featured collage here is Dee Ceased. This is a great wall hanging and so easy to do.
This is a 2-day class: May 8th and th | $100 incl. lunch both days. If you would like to spend the night it is an additional $80.
