HQ 2 day Hands on Longarm Education Event - October 29th and 30th, 2025 starting

at 09:30 am each day

2 Day Workshop - learn the basics of longarming, free-motion and ruler work, and an introduction to Pro-Stitcher in a hands on environment. We will have 6 HQ Amaras and 1 wonderful HQ National Educator Edie Wait for 2 days of Longarm education. Lunch will be included each day. If you purchase a machine during the event we will refund all class fees. So if you are shopping for a longarm this is a great opportunity. Introducing Edie Wait HQ Educator

Edie has dabbled in many arts and crafts while raising her son and going to college. She was also a member of the North Dakota Army National Guard for more than 21 years. Her career in the North Dakota Army National Guard ranged from part-time soldier to a full-time position at the Pentagon. One day she decided she wanted to make a quilt for her son for Christmas and discovered her true passion. She wanted to finish her own quilts and purchased her first Handi Quilter machine in 2012, the HQ Sixteen®. She started her home business, CountryPolitan Quilting that same year and has not looked back. Many free motion quilts later, she discovered Pro-Stitcher® and knew she just had to have it. Edie enjoys discovering the capabilities of a new software. In 2019 she upgraded to an HQ Avanté® with Pro-Stitcher, and in 2022 to an HQ Amara® with Pro-Stitcher. Today she uses free motion, rulers, Pro-Stitcher, and Pro-Stitcher Designer when she creates everything from an edge-to-edge design to custom designs for her customers. She loves
the freedom to create that Pro-Stitcher and Pro-Stitcher Designer have brought to her successful business.

Retreat on a Whim

November 5th through November 9th 2025

Come join us for an open retreat in November. The cost is $80 per night with lunch only. We also offer day retreats from 9am to 5:30pm for $45 per day. There is a two night or day minimum. This is a perfect opportunity to get caught up on projects for Halloween, Christmas etc….. So click on the “make a reservation " below and your group name is Retreat on a Whim. **Collage Class August 29th and August 30th from 9:30am until 5:00pm.**

If you wanted to learn about Collage wall hangings we have an instructor ready and willing to teach you all about it. Doris Rice will be at the retreat house on January 16th 2026 and January 17th 2026 from 9:30am until 5:30pm , teaching the collage technique. Lunch is included so for two days plus instructor fee. Total cost of the class is $165 So sign up below under “Registration” your group is Collage Class. Most supplies can be purchased at Fiberworx Fabric Studio. stripology Mixology class

January 30th and 31st 2026

Hello Quilters we have another Stripology Mixology class January 30th and 31st. (Friday and Saturday) You can spend the night or come for the day. This is a two day class and at the end you will be able to use all aspects of the Stripology ruler and have a finished quilt top. We will be using Stripology Mixology Book 3 and specifically the pattern Zoe on page 58. We will be making the Lap size Quilt of course if you would like to make a larger one you can.

Supplies needed for the retreat and project:

Most supplies can be purchased at Fiberworx Fabric Studio located a 9242 FM 725 McQueeney, Texas

Students can receive a 10% discount on class items and fabric for the project.

Stripology XL ruler

Suggested: GEasy ruler stickers or 1/4" tape

The project we will be working on is Zoe on page 58. The pattern suggests that precuts can be used. However, to fully experience the Stripology ruler, I suggest yardage. This will give the students more opportunity to increase their comfort level with the ruler.

We are planning on making a lap size sample.

Fabric Requirements:

24 Dark 10 inch squares

Background Fabric (light) - 1 3/4 yards or you can use 10 inch Squares (light)

First Border -1/3 yd

Second Border -1/2 yd

Third Border -1 yd

Binding - 2/3 yd

Backing - 3 1/2 yd

Cost of the overnight class to include lunch and instructor fee is $245 per person and for day classes $175 per person
