Stripology Mixology Class

March 14th and 15th 2025

Come join Jeanny for another fun fill class at the retreat house and learning about the Stripology Ruler. We are doing the pattern Coral our of the GE Designs Iceland Stripology Mixology book page 11. This will be a lap quilt.

Class starts at 9:30am

Sewing machine

scissors

seam ripper

Fabric marker

rotary cutter with new blade

Stripology XL ruler

Stripology Mixology Book

Suggested:  GEasy ruler stickers or 1/4" tape

Fabric Requirements:

Assorted 10'‘ Squares (42)

Background 2 1/2 yard

Binding 2/3 yard (note you will not need this for the class until you have completed the quilt)

Backing 3 3/4 yard (note you will not need this for the class until you have completed the quilt)

Cost of retreat will be for overnight guest with lunch only $245

Retreat on a Whim

April 3rd through April 6th 2025

Come join us for an open retreat in April. The cost is $80 per night with lunch only. We also offer day retreats from 9am to 5:30pm for $45 per day. There is a two night or day minimum. This is a perfect opportunity to get caught up on projects for Easter, Christmas etc….. So click on the “make a reservation " below and your group name is Retreat on a Whim. We also are offering a class during our Retreat on a Whim. Doris Rice will be teaching collage quilting. So if this is something that you would like to do you can sign up for that as well. Collage Class

April 3rd and April 4th 2025

Come join Doris Rice, a experienced Collage Instructor, for a fun-filled class learning how to make a collage quilt.

Class will be held at Queens Rustic Retreat. Address is 3191 FM 78 Mc Queeney, TX 78123

Instructor fee is $85 per person and the cost of lunch and facility is $45 per person.

The first day you will learn basic techniques and the second day you will begin the construction of your quilt. Kit and pattern can be purchased from Fiberworx Fabric Studio. If you already have a kit and pattern you are good to go. No sewing machine is required for the class. Pattern and Kit are required for class.
